Meydan Group and AZIZI Developments enter into a strategic partnership

Dubai, UAE, 8 February 2017 - Meydan Group has announced a strategic partnership with Azizi Developments initiating a residential and retail project in the Meydan One development that will cover 180 plots.  

The Meydan One development, announced in 2015 by the Meydan Group, features an integrated city and destination for business, sport and lifestyle that will shape the heart of Dubai, UAE.

Azizi’s low-rise residential and retail project which will comprise of G4 – G10 floors will be within Meydan One Development, near Meydan One Mall and its attractions.  The mall has a 150 by 80 metre retractable roof, creating a one-of-a-kind, alfresco shopping and dining atmosphere. The Civic Plaza’s record-breaking features include the world's largest dancing fountains (a four kilometre canal and marina), the longest indoor ski slopes (one kilometre long) and a massive professional-standard, multi-purpose sports facility (270,000 square feet with over 5.3 km bicycle and jogging trails, a 9 km boardwalk, a 300 m long beach and a unique heritage village).

Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman and CEO of the Meydan Group and Mirwais Azizi, Chairman of Azizi Group, presided over the signing ceremony at the Meydan Group’s headquarters. The agreement marks a new milestone to expand operations and offerings with this collaboration.

The Meydan One Development was launched in August 2015 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Azizi’s project will be within Meydan One’s massive 40 million square feet destination (3.75 million square metres). The development is located between Meydan and Al Khail Road and is set to become Dubai’s eminent attraction when the first phase opens in 2020.

Meydan One is set to break at least seven world records; it will become home to more than 83,000 residents.  The development will also feature Dubai One Tower, which is the world’s tallest residential tower at a height of 711 metres. It will have 895 exquisitely-appointed apartments with access to the world’s highest 360-degree observation deck and the world's highest sky-view restaurant.

Azizi’s project within Meydan One will also be within close proximity to amenities like schools and hospitals. The site preparation will begin once detailed plans for the project are drawn up.
